Call for Artists!!

Exhibit is Sunday,  11/16/2025, time TBD
The deadline for submissions is 10/5/2025

Organizer: Indivisible Brattleboro

Location: Latchis Theatre, 50 Main Street

Submit works in any medium, visual, literary, or performance, to explore democracy at the Latchis Theater, Sunday, 11/16/25.

This one-night event aims to uncover the heart and soul of democratic community through visual art, performance, storytelling, moderated community discussion and creative audience participation to address the question, What Does Democracy Look Like?

We will elevate stories that make people feel the beauty of democracy in their bones–its joy, its grief, its hope, its worth. Why? Because capturing people’s hearts is more effective than logical argument. Because America’s heart will be won by the most beautiful story. Because America needs us to remind her that democracy is beautiful, that it is possible, and that we can revitalize it together.

This hybrid gallery and stage program will include a visual arts gallery which will be open for browsing before, during, and after the stage program.  Audience members will be invited to contribute reflections via a “Democracy Wall”.

Presented in partnership with Indivisible Brattleboro.

All pieces must be consistent with Indivisible Brattleboro’s core norms of respect, responsibility, and resilience, and fostering inclusive participation.
