| Come celebrate the power and promise of renewable energy at Brattleboro’s Sun Day event on the lawn at Centre Congregational Church.
Envisioned by Vermont’s own Bill McKibben, this event is being promoted collaboratively by Third Act, Green Faith, Vermont Interfaith Power and Light, Sierra Club and other advocacy and religious groups. Rev. Jim Antal describes it as “a grassroots weekend of action when millions of people across the United States will celebrate the gift and power of clean energy and the urgent need to stand up to the wealthy and well-connected who are doing everything they can to stand in its way.” Brattleboro’s event will include music, information tables, art-making, and a sun-colored labyrinth to walk through on the church lawn – all kid-friendly. The event will feature a table selling McKibben’s new book, “Here Comes the Sun,” which explores the importance of solar and other renewable energy in today’s climate crisis, and its promise on the global scale.

| Attorney General Charity Clark will hold a Town Hall concerning her recent work to protect the rule of law and Vermont’s sovereignty, including filing twenty-seven lawsuits against the Trump administration since President Trump took office in January.
Attorney General Clark will be joined by Representative Emilie Kornheiser and Senator Nader Hashim.
She says that she looks forward to hearing directly from Vermonters about the impacts of rapidly changing federal policy on their lives and will answer questions on her work standing up for the rule of law and for Vermont.

Pre-registration required for all trainingsSteve Crofter and Laurel Green are conducting a series of half-day nonviolent direct action (NVDA) trainings in Southeastern Vermont. They have decades of experience using nonviolent action. This is an early notice that they are offering NVDA training to increase the discipline and effectiveness of people trying to make a positive difference in climate, democracy, and social justice issues.
The training will include: Finding courage to act, The effectiveness of nonviolence, How to make social change in solidarity with others, And more!
The training is a great opportunity to bring together folks from many local movements including Third Actors, Indivisible folks, people working on Gaza, democracy, climate and immigration. All are welcome.
The October 10 training in Brattleboro starts at 9:30 a.m. and will end about 2:30 p.m., early enough to allow participants to join in either or both of the long-standing Brattleboro Friday afternoon protests on the I-91 bridge and at The Common.
The sessions in Bellows Falls and Putney will run from 1 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.

These are protest messaging that can be posted on America’s streets and easily shared by a website link could help get much more protest messaging in the public eye. Eighteen posters are now available on the site. There’s also an online suggestion box for additional posters that people think should be added. |
