From the Service Employees International Union (SEIU) Local 509: Calling all labor and community allies, let’s show Rümeysa our solidarity and stand with her at her court hearing in Burlington. Wear purple.
Supporters are encouraged to pack the Burlington, Vermont courtroom for Rumeysa Ozturk’s hearing at 9:30am on Monday, April 11th, 2025. Rümeysa’s legal team believes a strong showing of support is important, and they are requesting that rallies and demonstrations not interrupt the hearing. While rallies may be happening nearby, it’s suggested to avoid disrupting the courthouse entrance. No signs or phones are allowed inside the courtroom.
