Organizer: The Beloved Winter Shelter
Location: Beloved Community church at 18 Town Crier Drive
This community-driven effort has brought local neighbors, clergy, nonprofits, and volunteers together to make this shelter happen. We now have 12 beds and can expand to 15 during a cold weather emergency
Shelter Hours & Access
We are located at 18 Town Crier Dr. off of Putney Rd. in Brattleboro, Vermont in the Beloved Community Church/First Methodist Church. Enter through the front doors of the church.
• Open 8:00 PM – 8:00 AM Sunday night through Friday night
• 12 beds available nightly, first come, first served (tip: arrive by 7:30p)
• Call (802) 332-6678 after 7:30 PM (or anytime overnight) to check availability
• No curfew — guests are accepted until 6:00 AM
We are currently seeking:
Evening Hosts
• 10PM –12:00 AM Tuesdays
Overnight Hosts
• 12:00 AM –6:00 AM Sun, Mon, Tue, Wed, Thur
Morning Hosts
• 6:30–8:30 AM Mondays
• 6:00–9:00 AM Tuesdays, Fridays
Overnight shifts are especially difficult to fill. If you or someone you know can commit to an overnight shift, it would make a meaningful difference in our ability to stay open five nights a week.

Provide a Hot Meal
Guests often arrive hungry, and a simple warm meal is deeply appreciated. Neighbors are invited to sign up to prepare a meal for up to 12 people.
