Let Freedom Fly!

Saturday,  6/14/2025, at 3:00 pm

Organizer: Brattleboro Area Action and Indivisible Brattleboro

Location:  Centre Congregational Church, 193 Main

Let Freedom Fly! in downtown Brattleboro on Flag Day from 3-6 pm. On Saturday, June 14, we’ll again join others nationwide, standing together in love and unity. Our movement for justice continues to build: We declare that power belongs with the people. That’s US! That’s each and every one of YOU!

Come out and make noise with us in Brattleboro!  We’ll gather at Centre Congregational Church at 3:00 pm, 193 Main, parade with The Peoples Resistance Marching Band and The Good Trouble Street Choir and end up on the Common.

There, neighbors can engage with local groups for information-sharing and grassroots strength-building. Food trucks! Cocina Lupita’s Salvadorian, Jamaican Jewelz, and Crossroads. We’ll hear briefly from a few speakers and enjoy strolling musicians and other entertainment.

We will celebrate the diversity that makes America shine: bring your favorite flags–country, pride, issue or anything that shows who you are and what you love!

We honor the flag of the United States, a symbol of freedom and national solidarity. Together we demand that OUR Constitution be upheld, that the government respect the rule of law including the rights of every person within these borders.

As Martin Luther King Jr. said, “A time comes when silence is betrayal.”  We will not be silent, we will gather on the streets on June 14 and in our neighborhoods in collaboration, every day to follow.  “The work of bringing people together in mutual recognition and cooperation is never really done”.  –Archbishop Anthony Broglio
