‘NO WAR’ PROTEST, Pliny Park, Jan. 18, 2 PM

In a time that feels like a distant memory, Donald Trump promised his supporters that, unlike his Democratic opponents, his policy was “NO FOREIGN WARS.”

And yet, during his second term, one of the first acts of this regime was to threaten Canada repeatedly; to insult our closest neighbor with the moniker “the 51st state”. Since then, Trump and his completely unqualified War secretary, Pete Hegseth, have taken it upon themselves to act as judge, jury and executioner by bombing dozens of boats, probably fishing boats, off the coast of Venezuela and Colombia and have killed all their occupants. They then deployed our Vermont Air National Guard to Puerto Rico, followed by kidnapping the elected leader of Venezuela. They are now threatening aggressive actions aimed at land or resource theft from Greenland, Colombia, Mexico, and Cuba. In addition to Venezuela, they have bombed Syria, Iran, Iraq, Somalia, Yemen, and Nigeria, in violation of the Constitution. They continue to support the genocide in Gaza. The Trump regime is not the police of the world, and the Trump regime does not own the Western Hemisphere!

Please join Indivisible Brattleboro and Brattleboro Area Action at Pliny Park, at 2:00 on Sunday, January 18. Please bring signs. We want to be seen!

Note: This protest could be pre-empted by a national call to action or crisis.

WE SAY NO WAR IN OUR NAME! NO RESOURCE THEFT! NO LAND THEFT!

A core principle behind all Indivisible and Brattleboro Area Action events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values.
