Respect Nurses, Techs, Support Staff & the Law
Monday, September 15
5pm-7pm
Outside of BMH on Canal Street

Brattleboro Memorial Hospital Management has:

* Fired a union supporter for protected action. The National Labor Relations Board found that the she was illegally fired but management is refusing to return her to work.

* Forced two union supporters who needed third shift to leave after management unilaterally changed their shifts. The NLRB is investigating.

* Forced two union supporters who were off the clock to leave an event sponsored by a Community Organization at BMH. The NLRB is investigating.

* Has been circulating a rumor that EVS and Dietary might be outsourced. This is a common tactic used to make employees afraid to assert their rights–and, if true, would likely result in patient care dollars going to profiteers.

* Has failed to comply with the law requiring the disclosure of administrator salaries.

* Has made “material misrepresentations” about its finances according to the Green Mountain Care Board
