WHO we are:
We are the Beacon — a hyper local group that is part of an international movement. www.BeaconforDemocracy.org. We are non-partisan, multi-faith, secular and we welcome all!

WHAT we do:
We gather locally and Shine the Light, along with over 30 Beacon groups around the world!

WHEN we gather:
Thursdays from 7pm-7:30pm

WHERE we stand:
In over 30+ locations throughout the US and I Beacon Chapter in Zurich, Switzerland.

WHY we gather:
For a bold, inclusive, compassionate democracy that lifts everyone.
Creating an alternate narrative to contrast and resist hate, fear, cruelty, and despair
Everyday people can stop authoritarianism! Nonviolent protests that engage just over 3.5% of the population have never failed to bring about change!

HOW we do it:
Create SIGNS that positively and constructively FOCUS on COMPASSIONATE DEMOCRACY. Commit to nonviolence in words and actions. Please no profanity, and
please no slogans that denigrate other’s beliefs. We do not aim to shame nor alienate neighbors, instead we create a safe, welcoming community for all who support democracy.
